Manager, SOX (MSOX-2301)

Job Duties: Manage and execute the day-to-day activities of SOX engagements for clients, internal control gap assessments, and consulting projects for clients in various industries. Assist in performing various risk assessments, process improvement, control optimization, as well as compliance readiness projects for pre-IPO clients. Evaluate and document clients’ business processes, risks and controls to ensure public company documentation standards are met. Perform test controls, document test results, perform root cause analysis of identified control exceptions. Identify, communicate, and address project risks, assumptions and constraints. Assist in the development and processing of client deliverables, using appropriate business and technical language. Assist the Project Director in project management activities including monitoring the budget to actuals and preparing status reports.

Job Requirements: Requires Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related. Requires one year of experience in job offered, Advisory Senior Consultant, Senior Auditor or related. Requires experience in performing Sarbanes Oxley Compliance review, spreadsheet control testing and audit planning, conducting risk-based control testing and testing plan, and advanced MS Excel including macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots and lookups.

Salary Offered: $164,750.16 to $165,000.00 /Per Year

Managed Accounting Services – Accounting Managers, Senior Managers: Our Managed Accounting Services (“MAS”) practice specializes in providing interim accounting assistance to our clients that include high growth and pre-IPO companies with valuations often exceeding $1 billion, — the unicorn threshold!

Responsibilities:

A Senior Accounting Manager and Accounting Manager for our MAS practice will typically have 5+ years of experience, including a mix of public accounting and industry experience. Given the high-growth nature of our clients, managed service professionals will need to be creative, quick-thinking, consultative and flexible to a client’s changing needs. Those that are problem solvers, clear communicators, and enjoy taking ownership and seeing projects through to completion will excel in this role. Our entire team is working remotely given the shelter in place, but under normal circumstances clients may want to have in-person meetings.

  • Monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
  • Accounting GL reconciliations
  • Consolidation accounting
  • Cost Accounting – FIFO inventory cost status analysis and reporting
  • Financial statements support
  • Audit preparation and support
  • SEC Reporting
  • Budget and forecasting support
  • Interim staff replacement
  • Revenue recognition recasting support
  • Commissions calculations support
  • Lease accounting calculation support
  • Post-close integration support

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Must be former Big 4 (PWC, Deloitte, KPMG, EY) or former BDO, Grant Thornton, RSM
  • 1+ year(s) industry experience (5+ years total experience) managing the financial close process as well as performing contracts reviews under ASC 606
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Software accounting experience primarily with NetSuite is highly preferred, but experience with Carta, RevPro, Blackline, FloQast, Workiva is a plus
