Managed Accounting Services – Accounting Managers, Senior Managers: Our Managed Accounting Services (“MAS”) practice specializes in providing interim accounting assistance to our clients that include high growth and pre-IPO companies with valuations often exceeding $1 billion, — the unicorn threshold!
Responsibilities:
A Senior Accounting Manager and Accounting Manager for our MAS practice will typically have 5+ years of experience, including a mix of public accounting and industry experience. Given the high-growth nature of our clients, managed service professionals will need to be creative, quick-thinking, consultative and flexible to a client’s changing needs. Those that are problem solvers, clear communicators, and enjoy taking ownership and seeing projects through to completion will excel in this role. Our entire team is working remotely given the shelter in place, but under normal circumstances clients may want to have in-person meetings.

- Monthly, quarterly, and year-end close

Required Experience and Skills:
- Must be former Big 4 (PWC, Deloitte, KPMG, EY) or former BDO, Grant Thornton, RSM
- 1+ year(s) industry experience (5+ years total experience) managing the financial close process as well as performing contracts reviews under ASC 606
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Software accounting experience primarily with NetSuite is highly preferred, but experience with Carta, RevPro, Blackline, FloQast, Workiva is a plus

Our Transaction Advisory Services team advises private equity investor groups and strategic corporate buyers across the transaction lifecycle. We assist our clients in evaluating strategic fit and key financial reporting considerations for potential mergers and acquisitions, including executing on financial due diligence, understanding financial reporting implications of proposed transaction structures, and identifying key value drivers. We work closely with our client’s accounting, strategic finance and corporate development teams in developing assumptions used in deal models and assessing achievability of forecasts.
We also serve as trusted advisors in assessing and concluding on proper accounting for transactions through preparation of ASC 805 technical accounting memorandums, preparation of opening balance sheets, and preparation of pro forma financial statements for SEC reporting purposes. We assist our clients in evaluating the proper accounting for highly judgmental financial reporting areas, such as complex earn-out arrangements, equity instruments issued to sellers, and share-based awards issued to target companies’ employees.
Our TAS group works closely with clients in assessing and concluding on financial reporting considerations for large financing transactions, including preferred stock issuances and convertible debt offerings, often executed in conjunction with other strategic transactions.
Responsibilities
Strong candidates for this role will have 4+ years of experience in audit, transaction advisory services and/or accounting advisory services with a focus on M&A transactions. Given the high-growth nature of our client, our TAS professionals will need to be able to be technical about business combination accounting, analytical when assessing the strategic fit of potential acquisitions and able to work with internal and external clients. Desired Skills and Experience
- 4+ years of public accounting experience, Big 4 is highly preferred
- Experience with financial modelling and due diligence
- Knowledge of ASC 606 and ability help our clients understand achievability of revenue forecasts
- Strong knowledge of ASC 805, ASC 470, ASC 480 and ASC 815
- Able to analyze ratios and models to evaluate company performance
- Able to work as part of a team, or be an individual contributor
